The Lip Sync Battle is an annual competition at Dover where teachers recruit students to sing a song and dance on stage. The 2023-2024 school year marks Dover´s 2nd Lip Sync Battle. Many teachers and students participated to create quite a funny and exciting event. Science teachers Mr. Mathias and Mr. Zickel arguably displayed the best costumes, whereas teachers Mrs. Pfeiffer and Mrs. Petrulo had quite the spectacular moves.

This year a large variety of songs were performed. Some songs performed were ¨Poker Face¨ by Lady Gaga, ¨Disco Inferno¨ by The Trammps, ¨I Want It That Way¨ by the Backstreet Boys, and ¨U Can’t Touch This¨ by MC Hammer. Based on the sound of the crowd, it is easy to say that it was very entertaining. Sophomore student Pearce Mowrer said, ¨This year’s Lip Sync was definitely a step up from last year’s. It was very entertaining, especially when Mr. Petrulo did backflips. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for next year.” This leads us to our next thought: which teachers will perform next year, and will it compare to this year’s Lip Sync Battle?  For now, though, enjoy this slideshow of pictures from all the acts!
