The original movie, Frosty the Snowman, was made in 1969; however, it is still a classic that all families enjoy. A fellow classmate at Dover High, Jude Van Dyne, says “Frosty is a classic, and I enjoy watching it on the holidays!” This animated movie is centered around a snowman with a corncob pipe, a button nose, and two eyes made out of coal. He was made by a group of students on a snowy day, and a magician’s magic top hat brings Frosty to life. The kids sang the famous tune “Frosty the Snowman” while Frosty came to life.
Unfortunately, when the magician discovers that his hat has magic and brings a snowman to life, he wants his hat back which would mean that Frosty is no longer alive. The children are aware of this, so they hurry to get Frosty out of their town. In addition to this, it is getting warmer, so they need to get Frosty to an area where he will not melt. One of the students, Karen, decides to help take the snowman to the North Pole where he will not have to worry about the bitter magician or melting; the two also brought along a rabbit named Hocus Pocus. Of course, the magician decided to follow the young girl and the snowman because all he cared about was getting the hat back.
On their journey to the North Pole, Karen begins to freeze, so before arriving at the North Pole, Frosty jumps out of the train with her and the rabbit to keep her safe. Unfortunately, the snowman, girl, and rabbit are not aware that the magician has been following them the whole time, so he continues to follow the three after they jump off the train. As the group journeys across the snow to look for a place for Karen to get warm, Frosty decides that it is best to stop and make a campfire for the girl to get warm. Staying far away from the fire so he does not melt, Frosty decided he needed to look for Santa Claus because he would be the only one that could help him and Karen; he sends the rabbit to go find Santa Claus, so he can stay with the young girl. As things are starting to look up, they spot the magician who arrives and puts out the fire.
Hurriedly, Frosty takes off grabbing Karen, and he brings the girl to a nearby warm greenhouse. Sacrificing himself, Frosty carries the girl hoping to keep her warm, but when the magician arrives, he hurries and shuts the door behind them knowing that Frosty will melt so he can get his hat back. When Hocus Pocus and Santa arrive at the greenhouse, Frosty has already melted and Karen is sitting beside her friend in tears. Santa sees the tears in the girl’s eyes, comforts her, and with his magic he brings the snowman back to life. The magician sees this and becomes frustrated and attempts to take back his hat; however, Santa threatens him and tells him that he will never receive another Christmas present if he does not write “I am sorry” one hundred zillion times and never bothers Frosty or the children about the hat. The magician did not want to upset Santa, so he did as he said. After this, Santa takes Frosty, Karen, and Hocus Pocus in his sleigh. They began by dropping Karen off at her house; she was sad to leave her friend, Frosty, but Santa promised her that Frosty would return every year with the magical Christmas snow. After a difficult goodbye, Santa brought Frosty back with him to the North Pole.
