While Football season has passed, many people around Ohio remain excited for basketball season. So far this year the Dover Tornadoes Varsity team has gone undefeated with Junior Varsity going 4-1. Varsity and JV both play their rival, New Philadelphia, twice on December 19th and February 16th. Varsity plays a total of 20 games this season.

(Varsity) Carter Grove-

(Q.) “How is your season going for your team so far this year?”

(A.) “So far this season we are succeeding very well. I’m proud of the start we have put together but much work is still needed to get to where we want to be.”  

(Q.) “What is a personal goal you have for your team?”

(A.) “My personal goal I have for our team is a great regular season with two wins against Phila this year and a run in the tournament.”

(Q.) “Do you plan to go on and play at a higher level? If so, where?”

(A.) “I have my options still open for my next step after high school. I’m going between joining the workforce or playing at a d3 college somewhere, and I have a few interests thus far.”

(JV) Robbie Copple-

(Q.) “How is your season going for your team so far this year?”

(A.) “My team’s season has started off pretty well. We’re four and one with our loss being to a very good McKinley team.” 

(Q.) “What is a personal goal you have for your team?”

(A.) “A personal goal I have is to beat Phila both times and keep getting better every day.”

(Q.) “Do you plan to play, next year?”

(A.) “Yes, I plan to play until I am a senior while I am hoping to play in college as well.”
