Mr. Tom Morris will be directing the spring musical “Anything Goes” at Dover High School for 2024. This musical consists of heavy dancing and singing, where two unlikely couples (Hope and Billy & Evelyn and Reno) come together along with many crew members to perform various showstopping numbers. In this show, nightclub singer (Reno Sweeney) and her angels are on a ship on their way to New England. Her friend, Billy Crocker is in love with Hope Harcourt. However, Hope is engaged to Sir Evelyn Oakleigh. Sweeney and Moonface attempt to help Billy win over his love interest before it is too late. This musical will involve hard work in many key roles in order to succeed: director, crew, pit, backstage managers, and cast. However, Dover is known to always pull off incredible and successful shows with the dedication of all involved! 

One of the main roles in this show, Reno Sweeney, will be played by senior Allie Bonvechio. Allie had this to say about her getting cast in this lead role: ‘Anything Goes is a show that I’m so glad I get to be a part of. It’s full of upbeat songs and dance numbers that will be fun for both the cast and the audience. One of my favorite parts of any production is the relationships you form with your cast and crew. The amount of teamwork it takes to put on a production brings us closer than any other group I’ve been a part of.’
