Artist Spotlight: Vincent Bierhorst
As the president of the Art Club, I am naturally very fond of art. It makes me proud to see artists at Dover High School being recognized for their creativity and talent. Dover has recently started to take notice of their artists by having their first Fine Arts Day last year! To add to this, I would like to showcase a member of the Art Club weekly!
Our showcase this week is Vincent Bierhorst. Vincent is a senior in high school, and while he isn’t very involved in Art Club, he instead enjoys spending his time practicing in band, orchestra, and participating in theater! He plays piccolo/flute in the band and plays bass in orchestra. He was also a former member of Crimsonian, having written a lot of articles in his freshman and sophomore year! If you check out his articles, you are able to see that most of his cover photos actually feature his own artwork!
Vincent has been drawing and sketching ever since elementary school. He draws both digitally and traditionally, actually going to Buckeye Career Center during his junior year to practice Graphic Arts. When he isn’t drawing, he plays Dungeons & Dragons, plays video games online, and watches shows like Arcane: League of Legends and Hannibal. His favorite interests easily become his muse, drawing them almost all the time! His favorite drawings, however, are the sketches of his friends. In the future, Vincent hopes to attend Oberlin College to practice Music Education.
Here is some of his work!
