Conspiracy theories are a very odd way for people to find some community. For example, flat-earth believers have whole conventions where they can discuss why they believe this. There are podcasts of people talking about different theories about almost anything you can think of. They are also a good way for everyone to find reasons for things that they don’t have a reason for.
There are so many conspiracy theories about Princess Diana; the one I find the most interesting is that the car crash that led up to her death was all a stunt. People have said that the car crash in the Pont de l’Alma tunnel in Paris, France, was made to be fake but just went wrong. The stunt was placed because Diana was constantly tired of her life being in the public eye for an escape to private life. Another theory on her death is that the Royale Family wanted British secret agents to kill Diana and her “lover” and also the driver of the car. This specific theory has varying ideas, but the general theory is that Dodi and Diana were engaged and that Diana was pregnant with Dodi’s child. Dodi’s father argues that the Royale Family couldn’t stand the fact Diana had two sons with a Muslim stepfather, and the very sight of that would kill the way they looked to the outside world.
Oddly enough, the Denver Colorado International Airport had five different theories about it. First, it was built with ties to Nazism. Some people say, while looking at the design of the lanes in the landing area, there is the Nazi symbol from an above view. The second theory of the airport is they built the giant blue horse as a nod to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. There is a rumor that the horse “Blucifer” is a sign of evil because of the glowing red eyes. Locals also say that he is cursed because the artist Luis Jiménez passed away while working. After all, the leg had fallen and severed an artery in his leg. Coloradans say that the horse’s eyes started to glow red after his death. The last conspiracy is that the artwork inside the airport hints at the end of the world; there are many weird paintings inside, like “Children of the World Dream of Peace” by the artist Leo Tanguma, which says so much on one canvas. One shows the tragedy of war and what it does to society – the opposite side of the painting moves to smiling children dressed in their traditional clothing and celebrating peace and all war being over.
The Illuminati is a secret society that is the longest-running conspiracy theory of our time. We usually notice them as the symbol of an eye inside a triangle. It started when Adem Weishaupt believed that the monarchy in Bavaria was repressing their freedom of thought; the Freemasons inspired it. The society grew because of a German writer, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe; unfortunately, this didn’t last long because it was outlawed by the Duke of Bavaria, Karl Theodor, and punished by death in the 1780s. Now, people think many members are A-list celebrities from Beyoncé to Kim Kardashian. Beyoncé’s fame has been coming since 2013 when she made a diamond shape with her hands during her Super Bowl performance.
The most popular theory, the faked moon landing, started in 1967 in a book, “We Never Went To The Moon: America’s Thirty Billion Dollar Swindle,” and another documentary, “Conspiracy Theory: Did We Land On The Moon?” Many groups accuse NASA of manufacturing different pieces of evidence, such as photos, videos, radio, and moon rocks, to make the public believe there were people on the Moon. There are many scientific reasons that this theory is wrong, and we did make it to the moon. Like, in the late 2000s, there have been published high-quality photos of our American flag still standing on the Moon.
To conclude, conspiracy theories are one of the weirdest things people can find a sense of community in. As odd as some can be, they help us feel less lonely in our beliefs.
