Graduating high school is an exciting yet nerve-racking experience. It can be difficult to figure out what exactly a person wants to do in the future. We interviewed some seniors to see what they have planned for the next few years!
Taylor Brogan:
Taylor will attend Michigan State University’s Honors College, and she will major in biochemistry and minor in theater or audiovisual technology. She also plans to study abroad in Germany. Taylor is most excited about going to sporting events, meeting new people, and participating in professor-led research. After university, she plans to become an anesthesiologist assistant. Lastly, Taylor’s favorite high school memory is being a Dover majorette her senior year.
Laney Lanzer:
Laney is going to attend Cleveland State University and will major in political science and minor in economics on the path to law school. She wants to get involved in public relations and eventually move to D.C. Laney plans to learn Spanish and is excited to begin networking and having internship opportunities in Cleveland. Her favorite high school memory is attending Buckeye Girls State during her junior year.
Jameson Marlatt:
Jameson is continuing his football and throwing career at the University of Mount Union, where he is majoring in psychology and minoring in history. He is looking forward to being part of the Mount Union Purple Raiders football team and helping backstage during their theatre productions. His favorite high school memory is kicking the game-winning field goal against Tri-Valley his senior year.
Sydney Stevenson:
Sydney is going to continue her track and cross-country journey by running at The Ohio State University. Sydney is going to major in nutrition and dietetics with a minor in business. Her favorite high school memory is winning state in track her junior year.
Abby Jones:
Abby plans to attend West Virginia University Honor’s College and major in Wildlife and Fisheries Resources. After university, she plans to work in a natural park and become a natural park biologist. She is most looking forward to meeting new people and joining all the outdoor clubs her school offers. Her favorite high school memory is being on homecoming court her sophomore year.
Ava Zobel:
Ava is continuing her track career at Marshall University. She will run the 400-meter race while majoring in nursing. Her fondest high school memory is her buzzer-beater to win her basketball game against Perry this year.
Susie Peltz:
Susie will attend either The Ohio State University or North Carolina State University to major in biochemistry and minor in forensic science. She is most looking forward to living in an apartment with her brother (if she goes to OSU) and science labs. During university, she wants to work at a bookstore. Her favorite high school memories are being involved with Camp Imagine If and playing in softball games.
Broc Baughman:
Broc will be attending either The University of Chicago or The Ohio State University and will double major in biochemistry and romance languages. He also plans to be part of their theatre programs. Broc’s favorite high school memories were spent with Susie Peltz while they were participating in labs and eating lunch.
Caycee Albaugh:
Caycee is undecided on where she wants to go to school, but she does want to go into the medical field. Caycee’s favorite memory from high school is all the friends she has made along the way.
Skylar Hay:
Skylar will be attending The Ohio State University. He will be majoring in neurology and minoring in psychology. He is looking forward to getting married later in the upcoming year. Skylar’s favorite memory from high school is the Dover-Phila bonfire.
We are looking forward to what the future has in store for all these seniors. No matter if a student is attending college, joining the military, or working around the community, every senior has a special plan that will guarantee their success.
