Hey, you wanna learn about 4-H? Maybe you will like it and wanna do it!
Hi, my name is Presley. I am a 4-H kid, and I love it. If you have a kiddo who loves animals and loves to do crafts and more, are 9 years or older, then 4-H is the way to go. Many kids love 4-H. You can make new friends, have new experiences, and make great bonds with animals. That’s not all, you can take photography, bake, sew, and even do non-animal projects. If this sounds like something you would like, read my article All About 4-H to learn how you can join 4-H! Having fun with your animals or your hobbies is one of the best things ever by far. When I first joined 4-h, it was very stressful and chaotic. Now I have been in 4-h for three years, and I love it.
Alright, get into one of the most asked question about 4-H. Is 4-h free? The answer to that is. No, it is not completely free, but the costs of it are kept to a minimum. The reason that it is not completely free is because every member has to have a project book for them to learn even more about their project. Another reason is that if you are doing an animal in 4-H, your animal could make or break your bank account, although it’s totally worth it. Some members have to pay a county member fee and an enrollment fee just depending on the county
Now that I covered the costs of 4-H, let’s talk about what projects you can do in 4-H. The projects are in all tons of different categories, including animal science, citizenship, goats, shooting sports, beef, communication, consumer education, dairy, dogs, crafts, communication and expressive arts, career readiness, wood working, photography, leadership, environmental science, health, electricity, botany, aerospace engineering, civic engagement, computer science, creative writing, and clothing. If you can’t tell, there is so much to do in 4-H. You’re never bored.
Have I convinced you yet? I hope so. Thinking about getting to do something you love and sharing the same thing with good friends who understand is totally awesome. In 4-H, our motto is to make the best better. That’s exactly what they do. Having amazing friends and people who do the same fun, weird things you do is amazing. Friends will challenge you to do your best or push you to your greatest. Honestly, from a 4-H kid’s point of view: 4-H is my free time, my heart, and soul. If you have something to do with 4-H, you could help others and make the best better. I hope I have convinced you to join 4-H for the amazing activities you can do, the amazing friends you can have, and the memories you can cherish forever.
