If you do not know, the Tuscarawas Humane Society is a nonprofit organization with the primary goal of creating a community where “all animals receive appropriate care, love and attention at all times; are treated with dignity and respect; provided necessary veterinary care; and protected from all forms of cruelty, abuse and neglect.” Essentially, it is a privately owned dog pound/animal shelter that specializes in giving abused or neglected animals appropriate care and a happy life until they are adopted. Such helping involves walking the dogs present at the shelter, cleaning the habitats for the cats and dogs, and just playing with the animals in general.
