A nice aroma filled my room,
It must be the turkey, I can only assume.
I am very excited to try a bite,
Then I remembered, our feast is tonight.
I got out of bed and dressed in my blouse,
Thanksgiving this year is at my own house.
I sit at the table ready to feast,
My stomach is growling like a beast.
My family is getting ready to say grace,
I’m really prepared to stuff my face.
